15 SEEMS LIKE A CENTURY AGO

Happy birthday to my sister, Zia. We attended mass at Mt. Carmel at noon, went straight to The Cafe Mediterranean for lunch and ate dinner at The Flying Pig at Eastwood. I will post photos--unwatermarked because I get lazy these days.

Family photo. Wish you were here, Ahya. We miss you terribly, especially during times like these.

The birthday girl responding to her many text greetings. Yes, I have witnessed it. 14 messages all at once for the first batch and them some more on the next ones.

My new pair, don't you love it? I plan on getting all colors. Hmm. I can't wait to wear it with my soon-to-purchase acid wash jeans!

This is what I wore today. Floral top from Mango, Harem Johphur pants from Zara (the black version of my gray ones seen below), worn-out belt, Louis Vuitton Neverfull, and sandals.

I have read some of the questions sent today. I love how you guys appreciate my previous post. I can't wait to answer them. Keep 'em coming!

S & R

Channeling Simba and Rafiki. How did we do? I did great, I know.

PUT UP A NOTE, LOVE IS ENOUGH AT 70

It is way past my bedtime but I felt the need to put this up. Have you seen Phoebe in Wonderland? It is a great film--it made me cry enough to fill a pail.

"At a certain part in your life. Probably when too much of it has gone by. You will open your eyes and see yourself for who you are. Especially for everything that made you so different from all the awful normals. And you will say to yourself, "But I am this person." And in that statement, that correction, there will be a kind of love." -- Miss Dodger, Phoebe in Wonderland.

Have you ever pictured yourself 50 years from now? I think that will be time when you can say Miss Dodger's lines by heart.

INSPIRATION

Hello! I just wanna say that I appreciate you asking questions! I was not expecting any questions today, or any day at all, but surprisingly I have received them. Thank you again. I am just waiting for them to pile up until at least 15 so that I could answer them and post them here. I am itching to answer though! Keep them coming! Again, you will remain anonymous as no email would be required--I deleted that requirement. :-)

I am OLSEN-fied today.

My take: I wore this to school today.

Forgive me, I do not think I've given her outfit enough justice, but, hey, I tried. Well, minus the shopping bags.

On a lighter note, I am able to Tweet and Plurk anytime/anywhere. I LOVE IT. Yes, even without WiFi. :-)

P.S.
Did I say THANK YOU for the questions?

HELLO

I put up a section where you can ask me about anything -- scroll down, right corner. Hit me up a question, don't worry you will remain anonymous as no email would be required. Someone said that it would be a good idea so let's see. I already have 5 questions since I put this up earlier this afternoon. Woohoo. I'm just waiting it to hit around 20 so that I could answer already.

Please do not pollute the air. I have been meaning to forget you.

QUOTES LIKE THESE...

Will definitely make your heart ache and stomach churn in all possible ways. I got this from my friend, Denise.

I downloaded so many albums. Jack Johnson, India.Arie, among others. And yes, I downloaded Sara Bareilles' too. I am currently listening to her song Vegas. I love it.

OMJC

Oh My Jesus Christ. Watching Chelsea Lately at the moment. Michelle Trachtenberg is so gorgeous! I'd die with her outfit. Okay. Kicked Harley out of my room because he had tons of things in his mouth: wood (from JC knows here), tissue paper (that he makes sure he scatters all over the room), Q-tips, and my Hello Kitty trash bin. He is outside now and is barking. I'll go get him.

MANIC MONDAY

So, the usual Monday Lunch at Eastwood has been postponed. TWICE. But it is well. Raincheck on a Friday is even better -- great food, great company.

RSF Toni, Me, and Diane

Shai, Eleu and AJ

This is me TRYING my best to sport Jane Aldrige's outfit, top and visible bra. OKAY.

What can I say, I am blessed with wonderful friends that know me all to well ("Ooh, PURPLE... BUTTERFLIES..." -- Shai's best imitation of me, but in my defense this was in HIGHSCHOOL). So well, that even our laughs, we get to imitate. AH-HA-HA-HA (Shai's laugh, the winner laugh of the night). Intensity, intensity -- I am talking about the pep talk.

Harley turned 4 months yesterday and I am a proud Momma. He has gotten so big -- gaining .5 kg every two weeks. He has kissed me one too many times on the lips. And, oh, he licks by default.

BOYFRIEND SHIRT AND TOPKNOT

Quick entry before I leave with Mom. Pulled this shirt out of my closet-I forgot I had it. It is beyond amazing, perfect for the rainy weather. The gold sailor buttons are to die for and my topknot's implication is that it did not take me an hour to get ready for the shopping spree that's gonna happen in an hour! Weehoo! I am so happy. Wasn't able to take a decent photo of my black leather fringe bag, my apologies.

Cheerios, Chicas!

I WANT YOU

What can I say? I am out of words--everything is just delicious! Number 1 is just beyond amazing, the dress is just spectacular, and the topknot is just genius. I will try my very best to get everything here TOMORROW because Mom and I will go shopping at Shangri-La. Do I hear a SALE? If I don't, I will probably drive over to Baguio and go Ukay-ukay. After all, I am the Queen of Thrift.

GENIUS!

GIDDY

I am so excited to see the Henneh Montene Movie tomorrow with 1/8 of BC girls at Eastwood Cinema tomorrow! Crazy schedule though. We're hoping to catch the 2 to 3 pm show. Goodluck to us. I can just imagine the hoard of little girls (and boys, too?) getting in line with their mommies and ALSO I am anticipating how they hog the screen.

Hoping to get a Henneh Montene shirt! HA HA HA.

And give it to Ling and Gela.

BUZZZZZZ

I get it, the King of Pop passed and it is in everybody's right to mourn. But what is up with the headlines about the tragedy of his death and the sudden top-notching songs of his. When he was still living, all he got was sheer judgements paired up with hasty generalizations. Way to pump up the old habits, huh? By suddenly praising him in all his glory. Just saying. And pure observation. Let him have his happiness and that does not include SUDDENLY downloading his music and PRETEND he is your idol. Give me a break.

I have been rotting at home and bought some cool stash from Metrowalk. I am going back with my sibling tomorrow morning because apparently, a movie sells for P40 a piece. Not bad for my pocket (or my parents' rather) but bad for the entertainment industry. The photo below would show it.

PrEncess Protection Progran. Yikes! Fail! I slept halfway through the movie and decided to give it another shot. It was cutesy patootsey. I will hand them to my niece, Daniella tomorrow. I have also seen Fired Up, which made me miss cheerleading terribly and Table For Three. Jeez, with due respect to Sophia Bush (whose character in the hit Television Series, One Tree Hill, makes me want to find my own Lucas Scott), I caved. I was frustrated with her character in the movie. I have also been watching Smallville. All because of my long-time crush, Tom Welling. So long I have been crushing on him, I remember declaring my love for him nationally and probably, internationally, if you count the Candy issues that my relatives abroad bought. Who inspires you (Candy Magazine asks in 2004): "My family and Tom Welling". Jesus Christ!

I will try my very best to update this. I know, I know, I have been saying this everytime I post a new entry. But this one is real. I just have not found anything interesting to blog about. Big thanks to those who visit my blog. Thank you. :-)

WHO ARE WE LEFT WITH?

People can be so apathetic sometimes—well, most of the time. Along Wilson, I saw an old man carrying a brown folder; the white shirt he was wearing, almost worn-out. I noticed how he stopped abruptly, holding his stomach and holding what seemed like the pain he was feeling. Right there along the sidewalk, he stopped. There were passersby, cars even. He walked a few steps and stopped. Again, holding his stomach. But this time he leaned forward. I can imagine how much pain he was feeling. There were many passersby, cars even. No one stopped to help him. I cannot stomach how people did not even help, let alone ask if he was okay. Not one car rolled down their windows to ask.

Neither did I.

Tatang, my driver said, it is the responsibility of the government to help these people. I could not agree more. But we have to accept that the government cannot stand alone. Most of us have accepted that the government cannot (and will not, point taken) fulfill its responsibilities. So what (or who) are we left with?
Not one person stopped. Not one car rolled down their windows.

Neither did I.

Green light went on as I watch the old man suffer—that’s when I realized that sidemirrors are not that helpful when driving, it was a very devastating sight.

HIDE AND SEEK

Hello, how are you? It has been too long, I apologize.
Anyway, I decided to click on the Bookmarks section on my MacBook (Wee, I feel so powerful typing that in. Lol.) and visited my favorite websites. Good news, one and all. I have found the picture that would best explain the HIDE AND SEEK I have as a tagline in most of my social network page and also here, in my blog.

I got it here. What do you think?

I got a call from my good friend, who has been long-lost since the 1980s--I exaggerate. Marc Law, in our 1-hour conversation via mobile, said that a relationship does not turn out right or what we perceive to be "right" because the GUY did not make/do the right approach. Or in my take, manifest the right moves. The right approach, I do not know, not even the slightest bit of idea. The right moves, I dare not cave.

This one, which I got here, screams CAROUSELAMBRA. I would kill for the hair, the sunglasses (which I think is very Osborne meets Larger Than Life), the jacket, oooh the jacket!

Mondays are for the cool people, as Shai, my very good friend puts it. After class, I drive to Eastwood to have lunch with my friends. We have been doing this for two Mondays now and hopefully, all other Mondays to come.

Cheerios, Papitos.
